Dear Centerville School Families,
Due to recent COVID cases in our community the Centerville School has decided to rethink it’s in person parent teacher conferences. Parent teacher conferences scheduled for November 3rd and November 5th have be postponed and rescheduled for November 10th and November 12th respectively.
I am working with teachers to set up virtual grade-by-grade parent meetings for November 10th and November 12th. You will receive an email invite to your scheduled parent meeting with instructions on how to access your virtual parent meeting. These meetings will be held using Google Meets.
Some teachers may send information home before the conference so as to help parents have a more productive meeting on their child’s progress.
Sincerely,
John McGee
Superintendent

Dear Centerville Public School Parents and Guardians:
On Wednesday, the Centerville School District was made aware that a Centerville Public School staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Knowing that our work with Cascade County Health Department will begin today, we made the decision to close Centerville Public School tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, 2020, to allow adequate time for contact tracers to complete their work per our school reopening plan.
We will work collaboratively with the Cascade County Health Department to complete the investigation. It is our belief that the process will take most of the day today, 10/28. The Health Department will begin the process of notifying individuals considered to be in “close contact” with the staff member who tested positive. Out of an abundance of caution, students will NOT be attending in-person or remote learning at Centerville Public School on Thursday, 10/29. Effective at 4:15pm Wednesday 10/28, the building will be shut down with NO activities taking place. The district will resume school on Monday 11/2 unless you are otherwise notified.
