Highwood Spectator Guidelines for Tuesday, January 12 Basketball Game: We are allowing two people per athlete, manager, and coach. If someone doesn't use their two spots they can share them with other people. We need a list from you of all your players, managers, coaches names and who is attending under each name. When fans come to the game they need to tell the ticket taker who they are under so we can check them off. We have concessions and will provide towels as well.

Dear Centerville Families, As we plan our return to a regular school schedule on Monday, November 30th, we would like to remind families of the efforts each of us can make to ensure our transition back to in-school learning is successful and we minimize interruptions to our school schedule in the future: 1) If students are not feeling well, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL. For many people, the symptoms of Covid are similar or the same as the symptoms of a common cold. For this reason, sending students to school with a runny nose or slight cough might actually mean you are sending them with a case of Covid-19. In the event of a positive diagnosis for anyone who has been in our school building, we must do contact tracing and require those in close contact with the infected individual to quarantine for 14 days. In a classroom, this could mean all students and the teacher must quarantine following contact with a positive individual. 2) If your school-age child tests positive for Covid-19, please follow all local Department of Health guidelines prior to sending them back to school. In most cases, at a minimum, this requires a 10-day isolation from the start of symptoms. 3) If a member of your family has tested positive for Covid-19, please do not send your students to school until they have completed the required 14-day quarantine based on contact with the infected individual and are not showing any signs of illness. 4) If you have received any positive diagnoses in your family that might affect Centerville students, please let the school know ASAP. All health information is kept confidential. 5) PLEASE CONSIDER APPLYING TO BE A SUBSTITUE TEACHER AT CENTERVILLE SCHOOL. One of the main reasons for school closures around the state is a lack of staffing due to quarantines and illness for teachers. Here at Centerville we have an extreme shortage of substitute teachers this year. In an effort to encourage more people to consider subbing, the school board recently took action to increase the daily pay for our substitute teachers. Currently, non-certified subs will be paid $12.13/hour and certified subs will be paid $13.75/hour. Even if you are available only one afternoon per week, every hour helps. If you are interested in being a substitute teacher, please contact the school office at 406-736-5167 to start the process. We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school. It is safe to say we can all agree that the best education happens within the four walls of our school, and students are happier and more successful when life is as “normal” as possible. Thank you for being patient and supportive as we navigate these unprecedented times. As is often said, it takes a village. We need all members of our small school community to work together for the greater good, and we WILL see positive results! Sincerely, Centerville School Board of Trustees

Dear Parents/Guardians, In light of the increased positive Covid cases in our community and numerous student quarantines and more importantly in an effort to keep our office and main building open, we are asking for the public's help. At 7:00 am on November 5th, the front doors to the Centerville School building will be locked until further notice. Access is limited to students and staff. In the event you need to pick up your student early please contact the office by phone or email in advance. Please call ahead if an appointment is needed to meet with school personnel. We appreciate your help in our attempt to maintain in person learning. Without your help our effort would not be possible.
